Ludwig von Mises was one of the most, if no the most, important and prolific writers and thinkers in the "Austrian School" of economics. He was a strong, intellectual proponent of free markets and individual liberties.
In the world we live in today:
- Post 9/11
- $4.00 gasoline
- Stagflation
- Negative savings rate
- Credit / mortgage / housing bubble
- etc...
... it is easy to hear grand speeches asking us ever so nicely to turn over our freedoms and liberties to those who say government (and their presidency) is the answer.
Just remember the 3 BIG LIES:
- The check is in mail
- The money is in bank
... and the biggest of the three...
- I'm from the government and I'm here to help you!

We are going down the road to Socialism.
With all the political promises being made by all the politicians.I guess I won't have to work anymore. The Gov. will take good care of me,us!!
